A New Era Begins as Jaine Hands Over Franchise Keys to Lesley
After a transformative personal journey with fitness and health, Lesley Warden-Stevens, a dedicated member of the local community, is proud to announce the ownership of the newly franchised AbFabFit Club in Gunpowder Park, Waltham Abbey, a haven for women seeking to embark on their own wellness journeys.
For nearly four years, Lesley has been a regular at AbFabFit Club, and her story mirrors that of many women who have grappled with weight issues and the challenges of finding a fitness regime that resonates with their lifestyle. “Like many, I was initially reluctant about exercise, especially those early morning sessions!” Lesley recalls. “But as I started noticing the positive changes, both physically and mentally, I was hooked.”
Lesley’s transformation is nothing short of inspiring. After shedding a significant amount of weight and maintaining her fitness over the years, she realised that the key was not fleeting diet trends, but a sustainable lifestyle change. This revelation has been the cornerstone of her decision to take over AbFabFit Club Gunpowder.
Coming from an IT background, Lesley has now fully immersed herself in the world of fitness. As a personal trainer and menopause advisor she brings a wealth of knowledge and personal experience, particularly valuable to women over 30.
AbFabFit Club, located in the Field Station building at Gunpowder Park in Waltham Abbey, is more than just a gym – it’s a community. The gym will specialise in a 6 week transformation program focusing on food, fitness, and behavioural changes, tailored to kickstart a lifelong journey of health and well-being. “Our goal is to create a safe and supportive environment, particularly for women in their thirties and beyond,” Lesley states. “It’s about building a space where fitness is not only about physical health but also about social connections, mental well-being, and overcoming life’s challenges together.”
The official transition of ownership from our founder, Jaine Alderson, to the new hands took place on November 3rd, 2023. Jaine emphasised the importance of this change, stating, “In this pivotal transition, it was crucial for us to find someone who embodies empathy, passion, commitment, and the necessary skills to propel our club forward.” The gym continues its dedicated mission to serve women seeking a nurturing and empathetic fitness community. Echoing this sentiment, Lesley remarks, “We adopt a holistic approach at our gym – our aim is to ensure that every member feels supported, empowered, and part of a journey where no one walks alone.”
